समस्तीपुर के सरायरंजन थाने के सरायरंजन बाजार में बुधवार रात परिवार के अन्य बच्चों के साथ खेल रहा एक आठ माह का बच्चा रबड़ निगल गया। रबड़ उसके गले में फंस गया। जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई। मृतक बच्चा सरायरंजन बाजार के कारोबारी राजा चौधरी का पुत्र मुन्ना (8 माह) बताया गया है। इस घटना के बाद परिवार के लोगों के बीच कोहराम मच गया।
घटना के संबंध में बताया गया कि सरायरंजन बाजार निवासी डीलर राजा चौधरी का पुत्र मुन्ना देर रात परिवार के अन्य बच्चों के साथ खेल कर रहा था। इसी दौरान मुन्ना ने एक रबड़ उठाकर निगल लिया। रबड़ उसके गले में फंस गया। हल्ला होने पर परिवार के आनन फानन में निजी हॉस्पिटल के बाद देर रात सदर अस्पताल लेकर पहुंचे जहां डॉक्टर ने उक्त बच्चे को मृत घोषित कर दिया।
परिवार के लोगों का कहना है कि रात करीब साढे आठ बजे वह घर में अन्य बच्चों के साथ पढ़ाई कर रहा था। इसी दौरान वह दूसरे बच्चा का रबड़ मुंह में रख लिया। बच्चों के द्वारा हल्ला किया गया। लेकिन तबतक मुन्ना ने रबड़ निगल गया। रबड़ निगलते ही वह बेहोश हो गया। हल्ला होने पर लोग उसके गले में फंसे रबड़ को निकालने का प्रयास किया। लेकिन लोगों को सफलता नहीं मिली। जिसके बाद परिवार के लोग उसके लेकर समस्तीपुर कई निजी अस्पताल में गए जहां डॉक्टर ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।
